Friendly service, easy reservation, delicious food, fair price. Anyone who wants to eat Thuringian dumplings is in good hands here. We'll be back, but just have my food picture ready.
Actually 4.5 star is worth; Service, food, ambience and portion size (attention, super very plentiful) are OK. The service ladies are unusually friendly, let's go. We were satisfied. Reservation required.
The restaurant can currently (22.10.2020) only be entered with advance reservation. We were 20 minutes early which wasn't a problem. Service very friendly. Drink came quickly. As soon as the bottle was empty, she wanted to bring another one, which didn't have to be. We refused. The food was awesome. Schnitzel with french fries super delicious (own statement). Roulades also very digestible (according to third-party statements) Sauerbraten also very tasty (also third-party statements). Price performance top? I would come back to this inn anytime. Thanks for the great hospitality.
The food is delicious. The service is super friendly and courteous. We'd love to go back here.
I was just there with the family. Super friendly staff. Good hygiene concept. And the food: mega! We had the beef goulash, roast deer, and sauerbraten. Portions were very generous. I can only recommend!
Here you will find the world's best Thuringian dumplings! (my opinion) The Thuringian cuisine is great here. If you want to eat here: make a reservation, otherwise you won't get a seat.
Very tasty, traditional German food in the heart of Weimar. The occupancy rate of the restaurant says enough about its quality. The food and especially the dumplings are great and therefore it is best to reserve a day in advance :)
Highly Recommended. Nice ambience. Nice personel. Wonderful food.
Small restaurant that specializes in Thuringian dumplings. The food was delicious and the service very friendly. You should definitely reserve a table in advance (2-3 days).
that was definitely the best meal that we ate in a week in Thuringia. honest home-style cooking that is simply impeccably prepared, with no bags or powder. Big compliments to the kitchen. Without a reservation, however, it doesn't work here.
When we visited Weimar, we really wanted to eat Thuringian dumplings. And this is exactly what you get here. Nice service. Fast and very good kitchen. Make a reservation beforehand as it is well attended. We would love to come back!
Insanely good Thuringian cuisine. Certainly one of the best restaurants in town. Super friendly staff. An absolute recommendation! But you should reserve in advance.
We were a little disappointed. Since there was hardly any chance of a table without a reservation, we made a reservation. Food was ok but was below our expectations. Prices i. O .. Tables are very close, service ok ..
A great place. The food was very good. Prices completely reasonable for the quality as well as for the quantity. You are in good hands here if you want to try the Thuringian cuisine. Important: reserve in advance! We would love to come back!
I really have to praise this restaurant for the really good food. The staff is also very courteous. Whenever I'm in Weimar, I'll only go out to eat there. Really good Thuringian cuisine Greetings from the Black Forest From Enrico & Mrs. Beate
I have long researched where I should eat delicious real Thuringian dumplings in Weimar. The "sharp corner" did not disappoint me! Not very central and no outdoor spaces either, but I also don't like it when everyone who walks by looks at my food. For that rustic and with a very special atmosphere! As an individual, I was allowed to sit on a high bench right next to the counter! And what can I say: beef roulade, dumplings and red cabbage were a poem! Eaten not so tasty. Very generous portions. Super friendly service. I can really recommend everyone - unless they want to sit directly in the market place. ;-)
Delicious food. Spicy sauces, tender meat and nice service. Cozy and authentic flair. The portions are very generous and the price is more than okay. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back! :)
Wow, that was delicious. Daughter and husband and wife left the inn happily yesterday. Price for dishes is super good for the quality, service, very nice, attentive and funny. BUT attention: always reserve. No wonder!! We will be back!!
If you want to try the Thuringian cuisine, you've come to the right place! The food was very tasty. The service was friendly, despite a lot of work!
After reading the reviews, and looking at the menu options (I personally am in love with Thüringer Klöße, and from what I'd read, this restaurant more or less specializes in them), I knew I just had to drop by. I came at 4:55 p.m. today to the restaurant, since I hadn't made a reservation, and, from what I've read, it can be very difficult to get a seat. Reviews certainly were spot on about that: they had two seats at the bar which weren't reserved, and I got one of them. A good amount of people without reservations were turned away, even as early as 5 p.m. - I believe one party of two was let in, on the condition that they could be finished by 7:30, as their table was reserved. All in all, I am extremely happy that I managed to get a table at this restaurant without a reservation. I ordered the Rindgoulasch and ordered an extra Klöße with it - I had read the reviews on how big the portion sizes were, but I was really hungry, not having eaten much the whole day, having spent most of it walking around sightseeing. Let's just say that the reviews certainly weren't lying about portion sizes. The Klöße were huge, but delicious. Even if I hadn't ordered a third one, I still can't imagine having room to order an appetizer or a dessert. In a way, this also makes the restaurant a great deal for the money - for maybe twenty euros, one can have an extremely filling meal. All in all, I was very satisfied with my dinner here; it's a great example of hearty German cuisine. I only regret that I have to leave Weimar so soon, because the food here really is spectacular.
Simply delicious! First, it is advisable to reserve a table. Those who are lucky get 95% no space. The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are generous. I rolled out of the store. The service is friendly, quick and helpful. Priced, I found it perfectly fine. If you want to enjoy good Thuringian cuisine is right here!
I haven't been able to stop talking about this place since I was finally able to go the last time (And my first time) with my mother during her visit to Weimar this time last year! Excellent (German) food! I had the knusprig Lammhaxe and she the knusprig Ente....both were out of this world! I've been looking for a reason to go back now that I live in Erfurt. This is my first recommendation to anyone that asks! As well the service was very warm, friendly and polite. Not always the case in a lot of places in the land of Thuringians. Oh I almost forgot...the Zwiebel Markt Suppe was probably the best thing I had there! You have to try it! Prost! :)
A wonderful Michelin star experience. Traditional local Thüringia German cuisine at a very affordable price. Excellent food - good variety and very, very tasty as well as being beautifully presented. Very attentive and friendly service. Advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment. A nice interior adds to the experience. Definitely a must visit when in Weimar.
Great typical German food. The prices are affordable and really good for a Michelin star restaurant. Worth the try!
Super Location!
This place is the best in town if you are looking for authentic food from the region. The dumplings are a must try as they are delicious. The place was very busy on a Wednesday night but if you can wait, you will be rewarded with a delicious meal. I had the Fleischroulade with red cabbage and dumplings. It was fabulous, I lived in Germany for 30 years and have had my fair share of good food. This place is at the top of my list.
TOP
Great authentic Thüringen Food, we really enjoyed our stay, unfortunately I don't think that they speak English but the staff was very nice, they are always booked for the weekends so you have to go there and ask them for a table before
